The Jewish General Hospital is limiting patient visits to two visitors at a time, per patient, in an effort to curb the spread of the flu virus.
“All visitors must be exempt from flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat),” the hospital said in a flu advisory issued Wednesday. “Visitors are also obligated to comply with the special instructions displayed in cases of isolation.”
The Jewish General is currently experiencing a high number of seasonal flu cases.
Before heading to its emergency ward in cases of the flu, the hospital suggests calling Info-Santé to reach a health care professional. Info-Santé can be reached at 8-1-1.
